Inspired by Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix before he was even born, Davide Pannozzo has since gone on to be described by critics as one of the most interesting artist’s of contemporary Blues guitar. His style as been described as a blend between Jeff Beck's and David Gilmour's. After studying Classical Guitar at the age of six, he later went on to graduate at Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome and has since performed at a number of clubs and festivals in Italy (Pistoia Blues, Ameno Blues, Blues in Town, Accadia Blues etc.) and abroad (The Bitter End in NYC, Bass Player in Los Angeles, IBC in Memphis, Ronnie Scott’s in London, Fete de la Musique in Paris, International Jazz Fest in Bucharest, Taubertal Festival in Frankfurt etc.) and played alongside artists such as George Benson, David Garfield, Phil Palmer, Mark Mondesir to name but a few. On top of this Davide Pannozzo has also won the Emergenza European Acoustic Festival as Acoustic Solo Guitarist in 2009, followed by the Groove Master Award for Best Italian Blues guitarist in 2010, and most recently the Highland Uproar competition where he received hundreds of votes from listeners of the station in Scotland. Famous are the collaborations with Maestro Pippo Caruso for the TV show "Domenica IN", with the Oscar-winning Maestro Luis Bacalov for the work Mediterranean Harbor produced by Walt Disney, and the masters Franco Piersanti and Nicola Piovani. His new album Born Electric has been released by EmArcy/Universal Music with very special guests as Robben Ford, Carl Verheyen, David Garfield.
